Job summary

Sheridan is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) in Minnesota. The role includes troubleshooting electrical and mechanical breakdowns, maintaining and modifying equipment, and conducting preventative maintenance within a manufacturing setting, with rotating on-call weekends.

Pay starts at $23.00/hour with a $1.00/hour shift differential, and requires a high school diploma/GED plus 2–3 years of mechanical technician experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of mechanical technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Understand Lock-Out-Tag-Out.
• Electrical knowledge, including single phase 120v, three phase 480v and 24 VDC power systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain, alter, rebuild and adjust equipment and facilities including fabricating parts and assemblies.
• Study recurring facility-oriented failures to find solutions.
• Complete all preventative, scheduled and emergency maintenance and repair work to facilities and equipment as required.
• Perform safety measures in the design and installation of equipment.
• Maintain an inventory of supplies and materials necessary for the operation of the building and manufacturing.

This is a 2nd shift role (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM) with consistent weekday hours and a rotating on-call schedule. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and experience in a manufacturing environment.

Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Rotating on-call weekends (minimum 2 hours paid if called in)
Pay:
$23.00/hour or higher, depending on experience + additional $1.00/hour shift differential

What You’ll Do:

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
