Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Facilities Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Facilities Mechanic responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment used in heat treating procedures, building utility systems, electrical controls, heating & ventilating, and physical structures to ensure uninterrupted service.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical systems (fuses, disconnects, capacitors, spark igniters), motor repairs, pump maintenance, pneumatics, welding (MIG and stick), building maintenance, and preventative maintenance. PLC experience is a plus but not required.

The role also involves acting as a first responder to plant emergencies such as fire, gas, or oil releases.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Repair and install electrical systems (110v-480v); troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Perform plumbing, pipe fitting, and building repairs.
• Alter, repair, and maintain building fixtures and furnaces.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records.
• Complete all assigned work instruction programs (currently 26).
• Operate and be licensed/certified as a forklift truck operator.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with electrical troubleshooting, motor repair, pumps, pneumatics, and welding.
• Ability to work in high-temperature environments and outdoors during winter.
• Commitment to continuing education and safety consciousness.

Details:

• Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with OT on Saturdays.
• Pay: $32.00 - $34.00/hr DOE.
• Location: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.
• Benefits: Full benefits, background/drug test, physical.
