Job summary

The Steel Network, Inc. - TSN in Durham, NC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain production equipment and plant systems. You will perform preventive and emergency repairs, troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and support installations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
• Intermediate electric maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment, systems, and building in a manufacturing environment.
• Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in CMMS.
• Fixes machine breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.
• Provides support to coworkers, contractors, vendors, project managers, and engineers as necessary.

Industrial Maintenance Technician

• Provide preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on production equipment, systems, and building in a manufacturing environment.
• Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Fixes machine breakdowns in a prompt skillful manner, minimizing equipment downtime.
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical (motors, solenoids, etc.).
• Troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic (air cylinders, electro-pneumatic solenoids, etc.).
• Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics (cylinders, motors, solenoids, etc.).
• Assists in installing, inspecting new equipment, and servicing installations.
• Provides support to co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers as necessary to support project and renovation work.
• Operates various measuring, diagnostic and testing instruments.
• Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and wearing PPE as required.
• Light construction consisting of framing, painting, plumbing, and miscellaneous repair duties.

Education And/or Experience
