Job summary

Kaiser Aluminum in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team and help keep our plant running safely and efficiently. You will perform general maintenance, welding and fabrication, and modify equipment as needed to reduce unplanned downtime.

Expect collaboration across departments, adherence to LOTO and OSHA standards, and a culture committed to environmental sustainability and employee growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to weld, repair and fabricate small items such as carts, tables, shelves, and basic stands.
• Possess excellent maintenance hand tools.
• Ability to work off-shift as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in assigned plant area.
• Follow LOTO procedures and OSHA standards.
• Repair, rebuild or modify equipment as needed.
• Reduce unplanned downtime through proactive maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet plant objectives; apply lean maintenance principles.

What you will work on:

General Maintenance Mechanic working in assigned area within the plant.

• • Work safely, follow LOTO, perform hazard identification, and conform to OSHA standards
  • Perform necessary plant, building, and ground maintenance to include implementing, repairing, rebuilding, or modifying necessary equipment
  • Work within an environment focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime.
  • Work collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure the accomplishment of overall plant objectives
  • Apply lean manufacturing tools & principles in maintenance activities
