Job summary

Bodycote plc in Highland Heights, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on Thermal Processing equipment and assist with testing and repairs. Must pass ITAR eligibility and pre-employment drug screen. Full-time hours are 6:00am-2:00pm, Monday–Friday, with potential weekend work.

Safety-sensitive role in a heavy industrial environment; strong documentation and safety skills required. Eligible for a $1,500 sign‑on retention bonus.

Qualifications

• ITAR compliance: US citizens or permanent residents only.
• College/technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred; high school diploma + 3-5 years experience required.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and analytical mindset.
• Proficient with MS Office and databases.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Implement the facility’s preventative maintenance program.
• Conduct scheduled inspections of fluid levels, water flows, quench oils, filters, and similar items; notify supervisor of issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized Maintenance Department area; clean up after work is completed.
• Assist in equipment performance testing per guidelines.
• Perform corrective actions for out-of-spec conditions as directed by supervisor.
• Assist in troubleshooting to maintain equipment, facilities, and vehicles.
• Document all maintenance, modifications and repairs.
• Maintain manuals and blueprints; provide updated information as required.
• Run company errands and pick up equipment, materials, and supplies as needed.
• Operate company vehicles safely and report repairs needs promptly.
