Job summary

Roskam Foods in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep production running smoothly across multiple lines and facilities. You'll respond to maintenance calls, perform preventative maintenance, and work with electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of plant maintenance experience, PLC and ladder logic troubleshooting, welding skills, and the ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.

Qualifications

• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus.
• 3-5 years of previous experience in plant maintenance, machine repair, or military equivalent.
• Troubleshooting of PLCs and experience with Ladder Logic.
• Completion of an apprenticeship/journeyman program is desired.
• Veterans encouraged to apply.
• High school diploma and/or applicable experience.
• 1 or more years of previous experience in plant maintenance, machine repair, or military equivalent (highly preferred).

Responsibilities

• Minimize production downtime by proactively responding to maintenance calls.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems (Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robots).
• Welding/fabrication and electrical troubleshooting as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints: electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic.
