Job summary

A leading staffing agency is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Sumter, SC. This full-time role requires the installation and maintenance of production equipment, performing both scheduled and emergency repairs. Candidates should have an AAS Degree or equivalent work experience in industrial maintenance, alongside strong mechanical or electrical aptitude. Shift flexibility and the ability to work a 12-hour pattern are required. The position offers medical insurance, vision insurance, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• AAS Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Maintenance OR 5 years of work experience in industrial maintenance and HS Diploma/GED.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production equipment, including emergency/unscheduled repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair control devices and motors.
• Maintain power and lighting transformers and perform regular preventative maintenance on machines.
• Repair piping and duct work and ensure proper operation of all equipment.

Skills

Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude

Understanding of PLCs

Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices

Strong communication and computer skills

Education

AAS Degree in Mechatronics or related fields

5 years of work experience in industrial maintenance and HS Diploma/GED
