Job summary

Valpak Clipp Manufacturing Center seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our skilled team in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep our high-speed printing and mail production lines running at peak performance.

This hands-on role offers training, opportunities to work with PLCs, HMIs, drives, hydraulics, and pneumatics, and a path for development through our Maintenance

Qualifications

• Vocational training or certification in industrial maintenance.
• Three years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting including 480V systems.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and control systems.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Preventative maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Experience using SAP or CMMS preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and basic electrical issues on automated production equipment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
• Diagnose equipment problems using manuals, schematics, vendor resources, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Support equipment utilizing hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, PLCs, HMIs, variable frequency drives, and control systems.
• Respond quickly to production equipment failures while communicating repair status with production personnel.
• Generate, update, and close work orders using the SAP maintenance management system.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, and plant safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation.
• Work closely with Advanced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to continue developing your technical skills.
