Job summary
Aventure Staffing is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in Waterloo, IA. The role focuses on uptime, safety, and hands-on repair of heavy industrial equipment. You will troubleshoot PLCs, read schematics, and perform precision alignments to keep production lines running smoothly.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with a formal apprenticeship or equivalent experience preferred. The position offers first and second shifts with on-site work and OSHA-compliant safety
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Formal apprenticeship or equivalent industrial maintenance program preferred.
- 5–10 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or heavy industry environments preferred.
- Personal tool inventory up to ¾-inch drive capability preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, dismantle, inspect, rebuild, align, troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Automation Direct).
- Perform shaft alignments using laser and dial-indicator methods.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and OEM manuals.
- Ensure machine safety interlocks and OSHA compliance.
