Job summary

OMNI Technologies in Greendale, Indiana, is seeking a Maintenance Support Technician at entry level to develop skills in preventative maintenance, inspections, and work orders. You will assist with basic repairs and learn electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance under supervision.

Schedule is Mon-Thu 8-5 and Fri 6:30-3, with no on-call or weekend duties. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and hands-on troubleshooting to support production goals in a high-volume

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in or completed Industrial Maintenance, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related program; or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of related maintenance, technical, manufacturing, internship, co-op, or hands-on training experience preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of motor controls and single-/three-phase electrical systems required.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems under supervision.
• Complete routine equipment inspections, lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and basic repairs.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Read and use electrical schematics, technical manuals, equipment documentation, and basic diagnostic tools.
• Assist with maintenance of motors, sensors, switches, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ovens, and machining centers.
• Document preventative maintenance and repairs in the Visual/IQM system.
• Assist with equipment installations, repairs, and movement as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment concerns promptly.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.
