Job summary

K S Tire Recycling, Inc. seeks an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician / Equipment Operator to maintain and operate heavy-duty tire recycling equipment in Chicago Heights, IL. You will service shredders, conveyors, screens and related machinery to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires mechanical experience, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Welding/fabrication and electrical troubleshooting are preferred; shifts are 1st and 2nd.

Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance or mechanical experience.
• Strong troubleshooting ability.
• Experience with bearings, conveyors and mechanical components.
• Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout.
• Ability to operate a Bobcat/skid steer.
• Ability to use hand, power and pneumatic tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Welding/fabrication and electrical troubleshooting are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tire shredders, steel liberators, conveyors, screens and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical failures and production problems.
• Change/adjust shredder knives, screens and wear components.
• Replace/maintain bearings, shafts, belts, chains, sprockets and rollers.
• Inspect motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication.
• Safely clear jams using proper LOTO procedures.
• Operate Bobcat/skid steer to load and move material.
• Identify abnormal heat, vibration, noise and wear before failures occur.
