Job summary

American Phoenix, Inc. in Topeka, KS is seeking an entry-level Industrial Maintenance Technician to grow into an Electro-Mechanical role.

You will work alongside experienced technicians while developing hands-on skills in electrical, mechanical, and facility maintenance within a manufacturing environment. The position features a Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM schedule with on-call as needed, and a strong focus on safety, PPE, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance or mechanical experience OR technical/vocational training.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, electrical components, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Willingness to learn industrial electrical systems and automated equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
• Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting and repairs of machinery.
• Support facility and building maintenance activities.
• Help maintain spare parts and maintenance supply inventory.
• Communicate equipment issues with plant personnel and maintenance leadership.
• Assist with installation of new machinery and equipment.
• Operate basic metalworking tools and equipment for fabrication and repair.
• Follow all OSHA, safety, LOTO requirements, and HazCom requirements.
• Assist with safety equipment inspections and documentation.
• Work with contractors under supervision as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
