Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Linthicum, Maryland, seeks a Manufacturing Operations Maintenance Technician to repair, troubleshoot, align, and install complex electro-mechanical, optical, pneumatic/hydraulic equipment used in production and test. Responsibilities include maintenance, testing, modifications, and data reporting in a union environment.

This role requires seven years in industrial electronics, a high school diploma with electronics training (associate degree preferred), and U.S.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum 60 sem hours with Electronics major or two years college in Electronics, or six months military electronics school plus two years related experience.
  • Seven years minimum experience in industrial electronics environment with electro-mechanical, pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain fabrication, assembly and test equipment used in production and test of various system assemblies.
  • Perform tests and align circuitry to meet performance specifications.
  • Repair electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems; dismantle equipment as needed.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance, replace filters/ fluids, clean and lubricate as required.
  • Make modifications using schematics, wiring diagrams and bulletins.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and data for higher classified personnel.
  • Operate computing equipment and CNC/PLC programs; PLC ladder logic preferred.
  • Assist in data summarization and calculations as instructed.
