Job summary

Kohl's is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Canal Winchester, OH facility to maintain, inspect and repair conveyors, machinery and building systems.

This role supports daily operations by performing preventive maintenance on air compressors, electrical and HVAC equipment, handling parts, and assisting outside contractors as needed.

Candidates should bring basic tools and the ability to work with minimal supervision, contributing to workplace efficiency and safety.

Qualifications

• Must understand mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC basics.
• Knowledge of MSDS and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Able to climb ladders and operate power equipment.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and bring own basic tools.
• Familiar with cleaning/disinfecting solutions per MSDS.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment.
• Routine inspection and maintenance of air compressors, generators, bailers, conveyors and material handling equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment.
• Parts administration and inventory control.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and moving furniture.
• Maintenance on heating/air conditioning units.
• Maintain lighting throughout the facility.
• Sort, stack and load pallets and materials for recycling.
• Assist outside contractors in performing duties.
• Promptly respond to jams, malfunctions or maintenance issues.
