Job summary

Kohl's is seeking a Maintenance Technician to promote workplace efficiency by maintaining, inspecting, and repairing facilities, equipment, and machinery. The role requires hands-on work with conveyors, HVAC systems, electrical, and plumbing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Daily responsibilities include proactive maintenance, parts handling, and assisting external contractors while ensuring safety and MSDS compliance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment.
• Compliance with all MSDS standards and lock-out/tag procedures.
• Ability to climb ladders and run all power equipment.
• Must provide own basic set of tools.
• Ability to use cleaning and disinfecting solutions per MSDS procedure.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspection and repair of all conveyor systems and equipment.
• Routine inspection and maintenance of air compressors, generators, bailers and related handling equipment.
• Inspect and repair fire protection equipment as needed.
• Parts administration and inventory support.
• Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, painting and office moves.
• Maintain heating and air conditioning units.
• Ensure facility lighting is functional and safe.
• Sort and load pallets and recyclable materials.
• Assist outside contractors with assigned tasks.
• Respond promptly to jams or malfunctions and maintenance requests.
