Southern Lumber & Millwork seeks an Industrial Maintenance Technician Assistant (Mechanical & Electrical) in Charleston, SC. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and facility systems with a Monday–Friday schedule and a starting salary around $60,000+.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience, strong mechanical/electrical skills, and the ability to read manuals and schematics. Valid driver’s license required; heavy lifting and climbing may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience working on industrial equipment, heavy equipment, manufacturing equipment, machinery, or similar mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, rebuilding, or servicing equipment preferred.
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs preferred.
• Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, industrial maintenance, or facility maintenance experience is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, parts diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentation.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot heavy/industrial equipment using manuals and diagrams.
• Install, repair, test parts and equipment on heavy machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance including changing oil, filters, belts, and fluids.
• Read electrical code specs and interpret schematics.
• Read and follow policies for electrical repairs.
• Maintain safety while working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
