Job Overview

This position involves repairing and maintaining packaging and down-line equipment, as well as performing routine building maintenance to ensure the plant operates efficiently. Responsibilities include repairing egg breaking machines, washers, loaders, conveyors, centrifuges, augers, and shell dryers, along with assisting in new equipment and electrical installations. The role requires adherence to safety, GMPs, and food safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical repairs to ensure continuous production operation.
  • Repair pasteurizer carts, weld, and replace worn parts to maintain standards.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to reduce repair costs.
  • Maintain and repair equipment like breaking machines, washers, loaders, conveyors, centrifuges, augers, and shell dryers.
  • Assist in new equipment and electrical installations, including conduit running.
  • Perform building maintenance and repairs on pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings.
  • Communicate effectively with management, vendors, and production staff.
  • Maintain safety, GMP, and sanitation standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2-3 years of mechanical experience, with 6-12 months in the Breaking Department preferred.
  • Ability to read and write in English, with effective communication skills.
  • Proficiency in basic math and problem-solving skills.
  • Welding skills or willingness to learn welding stainless steel.
Additional Information

Pay range: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour.
