Job summary

Tyson Foods in Mississippi (Forest) is seeking a General Maintenance technician for 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm). You will troubleshoot, repair, and provide technical support for machine systems, ensuring uptime and safety.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, servicing forklifts and industrial trucks, operating PIT equipment, and following safety procedures. Candidates should have at least 1 year of maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, pass health and drug screening,

Qualifications

• 1 year maintenance experience within the last 2 years.
• Must be 18+, valid state driver’s license; no DUI/DWI in the past 12 months.
• Must pass post-offer health assessment and drug screening.
• Able to lift up to 70–120 lbs and operate forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and timely servicing.
• Maintain and service forklift and power industrial trucks.
• Respond to service calls and manage hazmat cleanup.
• Ensure safety procedures and quality compliance.
• Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems.
