Job summary

MAC Incorporated in Bethany, CT is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment. The role emphasizes equipment reliability and reducing downtime, with responsibilities across PM, diagnostics, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

The schedule includes 1st shift 6:30 AM–3:30 PM and 2nd shift 2:30 PM–11:30 PM, with a 10% shift differential for the second shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and industrial equipment repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic equipment problems.
• Experience using maintenance hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
• Grease bearings, change belts/oil, inspections, adjustments, and equipment cleaning.
• Support TPM activities with production teams.
• Install, maintain, repair, and rebuild industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Dismantle machinery and replace defective or worn components.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures by inspecting machinery during operation.
• Use diagnostic and measuring equipment including multimeters, tachometers, and calipers.
• Complete facility and building maintenance repairs as needed.
• Repair equipment according to OEM standards.
• Enter completed maintenance activities and repairs into the CMMS.
• Complete end-of-shift reports and communicate equipment status with Maintenance and Production.
• Order replacement parts and maintain necessary repair supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
