Job summary

National OnDemand, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our Rice Mill facility in New York on the 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair diverse industrial equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include using CMMS to schedule maintenance, diagnosing issues on conveyors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and preparing repair work orders. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work well with a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems.
• Comfortable working with computers.
• Proficiency with hand, power, and specialty tools.
• CMMS knowledge preferred.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Team player with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the correct and safe operation of equipment using a CMMS.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and basic 3-phase electrical systems; perform minor forklift repairs.
• Identify faulty equipment through observation and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Create detailed repair work orders, including parts lists and instructions.
• Attend daily shift handover meetings to prioritize work and minimize downtime.
• Assess the condition of used parts using micrometers and calipers.
• Maintain accurate parts and tools inventory.
• Perform other duties to support operations.

About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of industrial equipment and machinery. This role needsa strong understanding of mechanical and basic electrical systems, as you'll play a crucial part in ensuring our operational efficiency and minimizing downtime.

Job Duties:

• Ensure the correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Troubleshoot and maintain diverse industrial machinery, including conveyors, water pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, basic 3-phase electrical systems, box erectors, tapers, palletizers, and perform minor forklift repairs.
• Identify faulty equipment through observation and preventative maintenance work orders.
• Create detailed repair work orders, including parts lists and work instructions.
• Participate in daily shift handover meetings to prioritize work and minimize downtime.
• Assess the condition of used parts using precision tools like micrometers and calipers, adhering to specifications.
• Maintain accurate parts and tools inventory.
• Perform other various duties as needed to support operations.
