Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Colorado seeks an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead hourly maintenance staff, oversee preventive maintenance, and drive line efficiency. You will collaborate with plant leaders and ensure safety, quality, and compliance across shifts.

The role requires 2+ years in supervisory industrial maintenance, expertise in electrical wiring, PLCs, motor control, and equipment repair. A bachelor’s in engineering is preferred; HS diploma accepted.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in industrial settings.
• Experience in industrial electrical wiring, PLC troubleshooting, motor control, and equipment repair/installation.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred; HS diploma acceptable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage safety, quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the floor on shift: schedule and manage hourly staff, perform PMs, and handle line calls.
• Coordinate shift handoffs and prepare for oncoming shifts.
• Review parts requests and track parts checked out on shift.
• Use SAP to review work requests, PM orders, and update breakdown notifications.
• Execute small-scale maintenance projects and monitor shift reporting.
• Conduct employee reviews and coach technicians and apprentices.
• Perform critical process inspections and PM verifications on equipment.
• Demonstrate leadership, problem solving, time management and adaptability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies (EEO, safety, Sarbanes-Oxley) and other procedures.

Industrial Maintenance Supervisors ensure optimal efficiency is achieved through effectively managing hourly maintenance employees and participating in hiring and disciplinary decisions. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor works closely with plant leaders, and requires demonstration and competency of plant safety, legal/labor compliance and/or food quality standards. This role is also responsible for contributing to and fostering the professional development, aptitude and technical expertise/performance of all hourly members of the industrial maintenance department.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Maintain the floor, on shift: schedule and manage hourly, execute preventive maintenance (PMs), and manage line calls
• Communicate oncoming shift preparation/meeting with previous and next shifts
• Review parts requests and manage parts checked out on shift (Parts Tag Receipt)
• Utilize SAP to review: work request notifications, preventive maintenance (PM) orders, and update breakdown notifications
• Execute small scale maintenance projects
• Maintain shift reporting and next day planning
• Conduct employee reviews
• Train and coach technicians and apprentices
• Conduct critical process inspections
• Conduct PM work verification of technicians (responsible for PM equipment, on shift).
• Demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, time management, and adaptability
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge in industrial electrical wiring, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) troubleshooting, motor control, and equipment repair and installation

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is desired/High school diploma or equivalent is required

Salary Range- 87541.55 - 96756.45
