Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. seeks an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead hourly maintenance staff, schedule preventive maintenance, and drive reliability across the production floor.

You will partner with plant leaders to enforce safety, OSHA/SOX compliance, and food quality standards while developing the technical skills of technicians. Responsibilities include shift planning, reviewing parts requests, using SAP for work orders, mentoring apprentices, conducting reviews, and delivering continuous

• 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge in electrical wiring, PLC troubleshooting, motor control and equipment repair.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the floor on shift: schedule and manage hourly staff, execute PMs, and oversee line calls.
• Communicate shift changes and prep between teams.
• Review parts requests and manage parts checkout on shift.
• Utilize SAP to review work orders, PMs, and breakdown notifications.
• Lead small maintenance projects and plan next-day activities.
• Conduct employee reviews and coach technicians and apprentices.

Bringing Home the Dough

Industrial Maintenance Supervisors ensure optimal efficiency is achieved through effectively managing hourly maintenance employees and participating in hiring and disciplinary decisions. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor works closely with plant leaders, and requires demonstration and competency of plant safety, legal/labor compliance and/or food quality standards. This role is also responsible for contributing to and fostering the professional development, aptitude and technical expertise/performance of all hourly members of the industrial maintenance department.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Maintain the floor, on shift: schedule and manage hourly, execute preventive maintenance (PMs), and manage line calls
• Communicate oncoming shift preparation/meeting with previous and next shifts
• Review parts requests and manage parts checked out on shift (Parts Tag Receipt)
• Utilize SAP to review: work request notifications, preventive maintenance (PM) orders, and update breakdown notifications
• Execute small scale maintenance projects
• Maintain shift reporting and next day planning
• Conduct employee reviews
• Train and coach technicians and apprentices
• Conduct critical process inspections
• Conduct PM work verification of technicians (responsible for PM equipment, on shift). =
• Demonstrate effective leadership, problem solving, time management, and adaptability
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Knead to Know: Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge in industrial electrical wiring, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) troubleshooting, motor control, and equipment repair and installation
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is desired/High school diploma or equivalent is required

Salary Range- 88,000-95,000
