Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a maintenance team.
- Previous experience in the food industry or tortilla manufacturing is highly desirable.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead, train, and supervise a team of three maintenance technicians.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure quality work is completed.
- Validate and approve the electrical and mechanical work performed by the team.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems with machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
- Coordinate with management to establish priorities for repairs and maintenance programs.
Industrial Maintenance and Repair:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures in mixers, ovens, motors, bearings, meters, conveyors, and more.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to avoid equipment failure.
- Read electrical and mechanical blueprints for equipment installation and repair.
- Ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Electrical Knowledge:
- Troubleshoot and repair three-phase electrical systems and industrial circuits.
- Install and repair sensors, relays, switches, and industrial control systems.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced electrical knowledge, including three-phase conductors and industrial circuits.
- Extensive experience with industrial motors, gearboxes, conveyors, ovens, and mechanical components.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- Experience using diagnostic tools and maintenance software (CMMS).
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and electrical safety standards.
- Skills in welding and fabrication (preferred).
Availability for Emergencies:
- Address urgent breakdowns, which may involve working early mornings, nights, or weekends as needed.
- Respond quickly and effectively to any electrical or mechanical failure to minimize production downtime.
Mobility Requirements:
- Must have a reliable car to travel between two worksites as necessary.
