Job summary

Stratas Foods, LLC in Decatur, IL is seeking a maintenance technician to perform a variety of tasks across the plant. Starting pay ranges are $28.65–$29.69 for well-experienced techs, with a top rate of $31.31 after qualification. Second and third shifts receive a $0.60 shift premium.

The role requires working all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Primary duties include completing work orders, keeping areas clean, performing PMs, and operating forklift and packaging equipment.

Qualifications

Job Description

Starting Rate is $28.65-$29.69 for well experienced techs. Top Rate is $31.31 after qualified. 2nd and 3rd shift receive a .60 shift premium.

Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be dependable, able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required. They may also be required to pass an aptitude test.Must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

The tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized forklift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Primary Duties

• Complete work orders as assigned
• Keep work areas neat and clean
• Working Safely and following all SOP’s on lock out of equipment
• Conduct PM on assigned areas
• Completion of daily and monthly PMs
• Able to assist others on job task
• Identify needed mechanical improvements
• Make necessary mechanical repairs when possible
• Identify and work to eliminate unsafe conditions and/or practices
• Completion and accuracy of down time sheets/GMP log
• Ability to be on call on weekends when required
• Ability to rewire electrical buckets and motors

Primary Objectives

• Working with line operators/supervisors to proactively maintain lines running
• Completing work orders in a timely matter

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Related Experience: Previous relevant experience, preferable in a manufacturing environment

Equipment/Software Skills: Basic Computer Skills - data entry

Ability to get along well with other people

Ability to operate and understand packaging equipment and processes

Basic computer skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

Desire to advance into management

Ability to operate forklift truck , scissors lift, and sky trac

Basic mechanical skills

Additional Information

Physical: This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.
