Job summary

PRIDE Industries is seeking a Plumber to perform a variety of tasks related to installing, maintaining and repairing heating, water and drainage systems in accordance with plumbing codes. The role requires knowledge of plumbing fixtures, pipes, and safety practices, with duties including diagnosing issues, reading drawings, and ensuring leak-free operation.

The Plumber will work under general supervision, travel between facilities, and execute duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Five years of progressively responsible plumbing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials common to the plumbing trade.
• Advanced knowledge of applicable plumbing codes.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and to present information and respond to questions.
• General computer knowledge to operate word processing, spreadsheet and internet software applications.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces plumbing fixtures and water heaters.
• Clears drains with cable or jetting equipment.
• Repairs water and sewer lines inside and outside buildings.
• Locates pipe positions and prepares work plans from drawings.
• Cuts, threads and bends pipe using appropriate tools and machines.
• Joins pipes with screws, fittings and caulking; tests for leaks.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
