Job summary

West Fraser in Alabama seeks a Maintenance Planner to plan, schedule and coordinate plannable maintenance work at the mill, maintaining essential records for analysis and reporting.

You will review time sheets, write and prioritize work orders, ensure parts are in stock, and coordinate with maintenance teams, safety meetings, and outside contractors to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• CMMS experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Microsoft Office experience.
• 2+ years Maintenance Planner experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work orders and PMs daily in order of highest priority, prioritizing safety.
• Review time sheets and ensure completed work orders match, reschedule as needed.
• Order parts and create purchase requisitions for non-stock items.
• Update BOM list bi-weekly and track repetitive issues.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for maintenance or repair services.
