The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Adjunct positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs.
Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years, applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool.
The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for teaching assigned classes under the supervision of the area dean; helping students fulfill their potential; assessing student learning outcomes; maintaining up-to-date knowledge in their field; continuing professional development; utilizing current technology; maintaining professional conduct; assisting with curriculum development; serving on college committees; participating in faculty governance; and fulfilling other duties as assigned.
Position Salary Information: Initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree, professional experience, and/or related occupational experience. For more details, please refer to the district's salary placement guidelines.
Typical Duties: Teaching courses across all levels in this discipline, including:
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or higher with two years of professional experience, or an associate degree with six years of experience, from an accredited institution. Applicants must demonstrate an equity-minded focus and understanding of diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive environment. If your degree differs, you may apply under the “equivalent” provision with appropriate documentation.
