Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic — Robotics & Press Systems to keep a 24/7 operation running. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems, including robotic welding and press equipment.

You will read schematics and work orders, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in 8D problem solving, with an emphasis on safety and continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus craft apprenticeship or equivalent.
• 2+ years general machine maintenance; 1+ year stamping presses.
• 2+ years MIG welding; knowledge of other welding was indicated.
• Familiarity with robotic welding and material handling; programming a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Jump on emergency/unscheduled repairs and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Read manuals, schematics, and work orders; replace parts and sensors.
• Use test equipment; start machines to validate repairs.
• Maintain 5S and safety programs; support continuous improvement.

Make an immediate impact keeping a 24/7 operation runningAs an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic — Robotics & Press Systems, you will be the hands-on expert who keeps production moving. Your day blends diagnostics, precision repairs, and preventive care across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, machining, and facility systems. You will support equipment uptime, partner with production, maintenance, and the tool room, and help drive continuous improvement.What a typical day can look likeInstall, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment using safe, predictive, and productive maintenance methods.Jump on emergency and unscheduled repairs during production, and execute scheduled maintenance during machine service windows.Test malfunctioning machinery, then collaborate with production, maintenance, and tool room teams to diagnose issues.Read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders; replace or repair parts and position sensing devices as needed.Use test equipment and heavy industrial shop tools to pinpoint malfunctions and system failures; start machines to validate repairs.Visually inspect, listen to, and dismantle machines to access problem areas; inspect and measure parts for wear or misalignment.Replace electric motor bearings, rewire motors, and replace faulty components such as relays, switches, motors, and sensors.Realign and adjust components, including spindles and clutches, to restore optimal performance.Install, test, and maintain control devices, pressure-sensing units, and flow-measuring devices.Perform, recommend, and develop preventive maintenance for all plant welding equipment, including robotic systems.Participate in corrective actions and structured problem solving (e.g., 8D) to address chronic process and quality issues.Maintain compliance with company policies, 5S, and all health and safety programs; champion continuous improvement of current processes.Perform all other duties as assigned.EducationHigh school diploma or GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent combination of education and production maintenance experience.Skills and experience2+ years in general machine maintenance, including at least 1 year with stamping presses and related support equipment.2+ years with manual and automated welding; working knowledge of MIG welding.Familiarity with robotic welding and material handling is preferred; programming knowledge (Motoman, Fanuc) is a plus.Understanding of manufacturing processes, product design, safety, quality, and workflow.Proficiency using ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and heavy industrial shop tools to diagnose and troubleshoot failures.Strong electrical maintenance troubleshooting, solid understanding of electrical and controls, and the ability to read schematics.Experience with hydraulics.Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP systems (Plex).Proven ability to work quickly and efficiently both independently and on cross-functional teams.Current hi-lo, crane, and manlift license required.Schedule and work environmentFlexibility to support a 24-hour manufacturing facility; periodic on-call support may be required.Primary work occurs in a manufacturing environment with exposure to industry-accepted noise and smells.
