Job summary

48forty Solutions in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep our pallet-manufacturing plant running at peak efficiency. This role combines electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and inventory duties to maintain multiple types of equipment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience with Production Automation Equipment and strong problem-solving skills. Typical shift is 1st, Mon-Sat 6:00am-4:00pm, with competitive hourly pay from $22 to $24 plus benefits

• Basic plumbing, basic electrical wiring, and basic carpentry.
• Low voltage electrical experience preferred.
• Attention to detail to ensure safety and quality.

Overview

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll get to combine the roles of an electrician, carpenter, plumber, and inventory manager all into one! We’re looking for the handy and multi-interested employee to be able to manage and maintain multiple types of equipment within our wood pallet manufacturing plant. This role is vital to keeping our operation running at the highest efficiency!

Hourly Pay:

$22.00-24.00/hr.

Shift(s):

1st Shift: Monday-Saturday 6:00am-4:00pm

Location:

1900 Vanderbilt Road, Birmingham, AL 35234

What You'll Do

• Inspect wiring, make repairs, and troubleshoot all plant equipment as necessary

• Respond urgently to all maintenance needs to ensure plant operations run smoothly

• Completely learn existing and new equipment within the plant

• Other projects as necessary

What You'll Need

• 3 years of experience handling Production Automation Equipment

• Experience with basic plumbing, basic electrical wiring, and basic carpentry

• Low Voltage Electrical experience required

• Attention to detail to ensure all jobs and tasks are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
