Job summary

Amsted Rail Griffin Wheel in Keokuk, IA seeks an Industrial Mechanic to install, maintain, repair, dismantle and reassemble machinery across the foundry floor. The role requires precise fitting of bearings, gears and shafts, plus operation of JLGs and forklifts where certified.

Qualified candidates will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience; advanced schooling is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years verifiable industrial maintenance experience or advanced schooling preferred.
• Screening and skills tests will be administered.
• Must be able to work off shift with daily/weekend overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains, repairs, dismantles, and reassembles machinery.
• Performs precise fitting of bearings, gears, shafts, motors, and couplings.
• Operates JLGs and scissor lifts; uses lift trucks where certified.
• Safely follows procedures; collects data and tracks preventative maintenance information.
