Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our St. Joseph, MO plant. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining classification machinery and facility equipment on multiple shifts with overtime and weekend opportunities.

The position requires reading schematics, blueprints, and performing preventive maintenance. We offer competitive pay with shift premiums, paid time off, benefits including health/dental/vision, 401k with company match, and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading and writing skills.
• Able to work in a fast pace environment, multi-task, and track workload.
• Able to read schematics and blueprints.
• Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to wear required PPE (if applicable).
• U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repairing machinery and facility equipment.
• Repairs machines, jigs, fixtures, gauges and replacement parts.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Service and operate rectifiers and electronic equipment.
• Set up and operate lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, welder, etc.
• Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication of machinery.
• Carpentry and sheet metal work for benches, guards, boxes, etc.
