Job summary

OpTalent is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a brick/paver manufacturing facility in Brewster, NY. You will maintain machinery, inspect mechanical systems, and support safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualified candidates have a diploma in Industrial Mechanics or Electromechanics, 3+ years in manufacturing, and skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding. On-site role with competitive hourly pay and company-provided tools and safety gear.

Qualifications

Diploma in Industrial Mechanics or Electromechanics required.
Licence or certification is a huge asset.
Demonstrated competency in electrical systems.
3+ years of experience in industrial/manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and machining.
Brick industry experience is a huge asset.
Arc and TIG welding skills.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
Proficient with hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment and systems.
Adjust, program, and inspect mechanical components for optimal performance.
Lead mechanical shutdowns and participate in maintenance planning.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts, inventory, and equipment performance.
Ensure a safe and clean work environment by following safety protocols and promoting continuous improvement.
Support reporting and documentation related to maintenance and safety.
