Job Description:

Position Summary: Food Production – Industrial Maintenance Mechanic – Full-Time

Starting pay: $21.85/hour

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant machinery and facilities.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Install and maintain facility machinery.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair machinery issues.
• Program PLCs.
• Operate within SOPs and JSAs.
• Maintain logs of maintenance and repairs.
• Coordinate with other shifts’ operators.
• Secure and maintain work tools.
• Keep work area clean and safe.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist with training new team members.
• Promote safety awareness and report unsafe practices.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Preferred skills in HVAC, welding, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping, or PLC programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Manual dexterity for machinery and computer operation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

Standard manufacturing environment with lifting requirements up to 50 pounds. Use of safety gear such as steel-toed boots, ear protection, hair nets, hard hats, and other PPE is mandatory. Cell phones and jewelry are prohibited on the factory floor.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Use of PPE including steel-toed boots, hardhats, hairnets, respirators (if needed), and flame-retardant clothing is required.
