Job summary

Gerdau North America is seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support plant and office facilities in Indiana. You will perform maintenance, installation and repair on equipment, tooling and building systems essential to operations.

Responsibilities include fabricating, building and assembling new machinery, and taking assignments with minimal supervision to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Knowledge of 480V 3-phase electrical diagnosis and use of a multimeter.
• Moderate knowledge of industrial hydraulics.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical piping and structural drawings.
• Experience with mechanical systems, water systems and rotating equipment.
• Understanding of industrial automation, PLCs and HMIs.

Job Description

Main functions: Perform maintenance, installation and repair work on the equipment, tooling and building that are necessary to the operation of the plant and office facilities. Fabricates, builds, and assembles new machinery. Proceeds on work assignments with minimum supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have knowledge in 480 3 phase electrical diagnosis and use of multimeter
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience with industrial hydraulics
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience reading and understanding mechanical piping and structural drawings
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience with mechanical systems, water systems and rotating equipment
• Must have moderate knowledge or experience understanding industrial automation, PLC's and HMIs
