Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Job Purpose and Summary

RHI Magnesita is seeking an experienced Mechanic in York, PA. The role will be to plan and coordinate the proper maintenance for the stock of equipment located in the York Facility. Identify the equipment needs while also following up and installing spare parts of inventory and purchasing planning for the spare components.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance on equipment at RHI Magnesita facilities.
• Conduct inspections on equipment coming back from construction sites to identify potential issues.
• Repair or replace faulty parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and assorted industrial equipment.
• When needed, contact third-party technical support for repairs and preventive maintenance services for the equipment.
• Plan for the acquisition of spare and wear parts for the maintenance of equipment.
• Assist with inventory management functions.
• Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Occasional field travel.
• Technical acceptance of new equipment and repairs in suppliers’ workshops.
• Adherence to all safety requirements and use of appropriate PPE.

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2+ years of mechanic experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and General Abilities:

• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Working knowledge of diagnostic and repair of industrial equipment and simple mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools to repair and maintain equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Warehouse Environment.
