Job summary

Dart Container is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment and keep our manufacturing line running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This full-time position follows a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am) and a $2/hour shift premium.

Pay ranges from $25 to $36 per hour, with comprehensive benefits, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent through technical training.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic systems, bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and temperature/pressure controls.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and maintain industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Repair or replace mechanical components including motors, conveyors, pumps, valves, and production equipment.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.
• Assist with production changeovers, equipment setups, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Dismantle, rebuild, and modify equipment as needed to support plant operations.
• Follow all safety procedures and preventive maintenance schedules.

Schedule

Work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts, giving you every other weekend off. Available shifts:

• 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (includes $2/hour shift premium)

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• At least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience, or equivalent experience through technical school, apprenticeship, or military training

• Working knowledge of:

  • Bearings, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors
  • Temperature and pressure controls/gauges
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs with minimal supervision
