Job Details

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for addressing various challenges and performing maintenance and repairs on equipment within an industrial food manufacturing facility. The role involves self-performing or assisting other technicians with advanced repairs across the campus, working under minimal supervision and liaising with external suppliers and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Understanding of PLCs, troubleshooting without programming
• Repair of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Maintain and repair electrical pumps, motors, heaters, piping, water, and steam systems
• Preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Experience with programmable firmware, AC/DC electrical systems, display units
• Test and evaluate robotic systems, reprogramming and calibrating for optimal performance
• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Must be 21 years or older
• Applicable certifications, licenses, and a valid driver’s license
• Flexible on duties and schedule
• Ability to work independently and at heights with fall protection
• Physical ability to manipulate tools, stoop, bend, and lift objects up to 75 pounds
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents, and write basic reports
