PMA Friction Products is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Lead Technician to join our team in Batavia, IL.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance lead technician is responsible for completing daily maintenance tasks in a manufacturing facility, to ensure all machinery, equipment, and systems are operating safely and efficiently. This role combines hands-on technical work with lead responsibilities, including developing a PM schedule and enhancing an already robust safety program, scheduling repairs and preventative maintenance, and driving continuous improvement in reliability and uptime.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair equipment and facilities.
  • Schedule and perform preventative and corrective maintenance for equipment such as presses, conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and PLC-controlled machinery.
  • Responsible for the coordination and recordation of all maintenance/safety related inspections (i.e., smoke detectors, water treatment, temperatures, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues; ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Monitor work orders and assign tasks using the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System, if needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and environmental guidelines.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify maintenance priorities and reduce downtime.
  • Maintain and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain proper inventory of parts, tools, and supplies; assist in managing vendor relationships.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • 2+ years of lead experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance tracking.
  • Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industrial regulations.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, robotics, and automated control systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or TPM principles.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Work in hot, cold, noisy, or dusty environments.
