Come be part of our Team.**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include, but are not limited to the following)*** Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.* Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.* Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.* Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.* Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.* Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.* Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.* Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.* Must be able and willing to furnish your own tools.Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation**REQUIREMENTS:****Education and Experience: Minimum 2 years of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of and industrial maintenance training program. (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 2 years).****SPECIAL SKILLS:*** **Computer Skills:** Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).* **Communication Skills:** Effective communication and basic math skills required.* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.* Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.* Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.* Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.* Frequent overhead work.* Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.* Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.* Read and understand blueprints, manuals and work orders.**Applicants will be considered for, General Maintenance level openings.****Leveling is determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.****Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.****Relocation Assistance Eligible:**No**Work Shift:**3RD SHIFT (United States of America)**Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
