Job summary

Agropur's Little Chute, WI plant is seeking a Maintenance General to keep the plant running safely and in compliance. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining equipment, working with production to minimize downtime, and adhering to GMP and safety protocols.

Night shifts with a 2-2-3 schedule and generous benefits are offered. Starting hourly rate is $30.33 with a $1.50 night premium, plus two raises within a year and Sunday double time.

• Repair or replace valves and pumps; perform basic wiring and pipe fitting as directed.
• Handle all equipment and chemicals safely.

What you’ll be responsible for each day:

The Maintenance General position is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules/regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair and upkeep.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot equipment for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install, update and repair equipment.
• Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining high quality.
• Repair or replace valves and pumps (seals, steams, O rings, seats, bearings, etc.) as needed.
• Perform basic electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starter, motor leads, etc.) as needed.
• Perform basic pipe fitting as directed.
• Handle all equipment and chemicals safely.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain a good working knowledge of all process areas in the plant.
• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Safety ProtocolStop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
• Support safety policies and programs.

• Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 140 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry.
