Job summary

WTL Wheatland Tube, LLC in Rochelle, IL is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to support the tube mill and production equipment, maximize uptime, quality and yield, and thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, PLC/VFD expertise, reading electrical/mechanical prints, and teamwork with mechanics, operators and engineers. Shift: 2nd (1P-9P). Pay: $33.50 per hour plus a production incentive.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Maintenance Electrician in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, especially Allen Bradley systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and program VFDs.
• Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical prints.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains knowledge of process, equipment, controls, and storeroom areas.
• Maintains and troubleshoots equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and motors.
• Troubleshoots and programs VFDs for optimal operation.
• Performs routine and non-routine maintenance on electrical systems.
• Uses CMMS to monitor and report on equipment.
• Reads electrical prints and uses multimeters for troubleshooting.
• Performs preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
• Collaborates with team members and communicates issues to the Maintenance Foreman.
• Assists in installation and upgrades of plant equipment.
• Manages inventory and sources parts via catalogs and vendor contacts.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and interfaces with other teams.
