Job summary

Skillforce is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician for a 28-day project in Richmond, VA. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and production equipment in a heavy industrial metals environment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting across electrical controls, three-phase motors, and PLC systems, with the ability to work day or night shifts and extended hours. Per diem and travel reimbursements apply as described.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong troubleshooting experience with electrical controls, three-phase motors, switches, sensors and related systems.
Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and either day or night shift.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems on industrial production equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment used in non-ferrous metal manufacturing.
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical controls and PLC systems.
Rebuild and replace failed equipment components.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures.
