Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LP Building Solutions) seeks an industrial electrical technician to perform predictive and preventive maintenance, read wiring diagrams, and troubleshoot electrical systems in our OSB mill. You will work with safety-first processes and collaborate with senior staff on complex issues.

A valid driver’s license is required. We value a vocational background with PLC training and 2–5 years of electrical experience in manufacturing settings.

Qualificações

• 2–5 years electrical experience.
• 2+ years in industrial/manufacturing environment preferred.
• Vocational degree preferred and PLC training beneficial.

Job Purpose

To perform routine preventative electrical maintenance functions and assist the mill in electrical operations.

In This Position You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Perform predictive and preventative electrical maintenance functions.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and take appropriate action.
• Seek and consult with higher level position for more complex issues.
• Read wiring and circuit diagrams.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
• Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

• Knowledge and understanding of electrical functions.
• Knowledge of equipment and tools.
• Knowledge and understanding of basic PLC.
• Time management and prioritizing skills.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring and circuit diagrams.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Education

• Vocational degree preferred.
• Basic PLC training completed.

Experience

• 2 – 5 years’ electrical experience.
• 2+ years' experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

Work Environment

OSB Manufacturing facility with exposure to sawdust, chemicals, extreme temperatures (hot and cold), and other inclement conditions.
