Job summary

Univar Solutions is seeking a Maintenance professional in Spartanburg, SC to perform general maintenance on Tank Farm, warehouse, and facilities. The role includes forklift operation, occasional welding, and coordinating routine maintenance.

You will work in an indoor/outdoor warehouse environment and may participate in emergency response. The position requires at least 3 years of maintenance experience and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation is required and must comply with company procedures and regulations.
• Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes with training.
• Three years of general maintenance experience (millwright preferred).

Responsibilities

• Occasional maintenance and repair on trailer pumps.
• Limited manual warehouse duties including painting, rack identification, and replacing light fixtures and bulbs; trim trees and outdoor tasks as assigned.
• Coordinate the facility maintenance program to ensure all tasks are completed routinely.
• Perform welding and fabrication projects.
• Conduct Tank Farm maintenance including pump and hose inspections.
• Research non-standard maintenance requiring materials or outside contractors.
• Monitor outside contractors for timely repairs.
• Provide guidance to junior maintenance workers.
• Participate in the company’s in-plant or off-site emergency response team.
• Perform testing, repairs and re-certification of IBCs.
• Comply with company policies and guidelines.
• Perform all other duties as required.

Position Title:

Maintenance

What You'll Do:

Performs general maintenance and repairs on the Tank Farm, Warehouse, facilities, equipment, forklifts, trailers, and trucks.

Responsibilities:

• Occasional maintenance and repair on trailer pumps
• Limited manual warehouse duties as assigned including but not limited to painting, rack identification, and replacement of light fixtures & light bulbs. May also trim trees and complete outdoor maintenance tasks as assigned
• Responsible for coordinating the facility maintenance program to ensure all maintenance is completed routinely
• Completes various welding and fabrication projects
• Completes general Tank Farm maintenance including pump and hose inspections
• Completes necessary research for non-standard maintenance & repairs requiring the purchase of materials and/or employment by outside contractors or vendors
• Monitors progress of outside contractors to ensure timely and proper repairs
• Provides guidance and assistance to less senior maintenance workers
• Serve on companys in-plant or off-site emergency response team
• Performs required testing, repairs and re-certification of IBCs
• Comply with all company policies, rules, and guidelines
• Perform all other duties as required.

What You'll Need:

• Ability to operate an industrial powered lift truck or forklift according to company procedures and governmental regulations
• Ability to use and maintain respiratory protection equipment
• Ability to learn proper methods for handling hazardous materials and wastes, with training
• At least 3 years maintenance experience (millwright preferred)
