Base pay range: $24.00/hr - $28.00/hr

Role Summary

Interpret detailed drawings, perform machining calculations, operate machine tools (e.g., CNC mills, Wire EDM), create fixtures, sharpen tools, and understand CNC programming and GD&T for precision tooling assembly.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Interpret complex tooling and part drawings.
  • Use advanced math for machining calculations.
  • Design and produce holding fixtures.
  • Shape and sharpen cutting tools.
  • Apply broad machining knowledge including material characteristics and finishing techniques.
  • Set up and operate machine tools to close tolerances (.0002).
  • Understand CNC language and proofing GD&T.
  • Focus on precision and complex assembly tasks.
Qualifications
  • Document activities via reports, sketches, etc.
  • High school/vocational graduate with shop math courses and 4 years of machining experience.
  • Knowledge of cutter geometry, feeds, speeds, heat treat, metals.
  • Experience with surface plate inspection and precision tools.
  • Minimum 3-5 years current machining experience; CAD experience preferred.
Requirements
  • Problem-solving skills for tooling issues.
  • Manual dexterity for assembly and setups.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces and non-temperature-controlled environments.
  • Ability to work independently, with own tools, and lift 75 pounds.
  • Work in noisy, dusty, and fume-exposed environments following safety protocols.
  • Stand for most of the shift.
Additional Details

Work hours: Monday-Friday, 1st shift, 40+ hours/week.
