Painter I Responsibilities
- Paint truck chassis and parts independently.
- Assist with painting dump bodies.
- Read work orders and instructions.
- Follow all safety practices.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials.
- Operate mechanized devices or equipment.
- Clean equipment or machinery.
- Apply coatings, sealants, adhesives, or caulking.
- Mask vehicle bodies for painting.
- Distinguish colors.
- Operate mixing or blending machines, using hand or power tools.
- Mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals per specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Painter II Responsibilities
- Paint any OSW product or parts independently.
- Read work orders and instructions.
- Follow all safety practices.
- Organize, plan, and prioritize work.
- Inspect equipment, structures, or materials.
- Operate mechanized devices or equipment.
- Clean equipment or machinery.
- Apply coatings, sealants, adhesives, or caulking.
- Mask vehicle bodies for painting.
- Distinguish colors.
- Operate mixing or blending machines, using hand or power tools.
- Mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals per specifications.
- Provide training to Painter I and Preppers as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently.
- Experience with power tools, pneumatic wrenches, grinders.
- Knowledge of welding processes is helpful.
- Heavy-duty truck aptitude.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and resourceful.
- Problem-solving skills with minimal guidance.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2-5 years of auto paint experience required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
