Industrial Machinery Mover (Rigger) - Houston, Texas

Join MEI Rigging & Crating as an Industrial Machinery Mover (Rigger) in Houston, Texas. Responsibilities
  • Willing to train
  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety
  • Test rigging for safety and reliability
  • Attach loads to rigging using hand and power tools
  • Select appropriate gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches based on load specifications
  • Control movement of heavy equipment in confined spaces using specialized tools
  • Manoeuvre suspended loads over obstacles using multi-point suspension techniques
  • Align, level, and anchor machinery
  • Manipulate rigging lines and support materials
  • Attach pulleys and blocks to overhead structures
  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use
  • Operate vehicles and mechanized devices like forklifts
  • Control machines and processes as needed
  • Occasional regional overnight travel may be required
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of proven experience or comparable field experience, preferably in manufacturing or construction
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Mechanically inclined with a passion for working with machines
  • Customer service focused
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), balancing, and handling materials.
