Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the production team to ensure timely inspections.
• Confirms and approves the quality of finished parts; reports nonconforming parts.
• Participates in root cause analysis meetings as required.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Major Responsibilities & Essential Functions

A candidate for this position can expect to perform the following tasks:

• Conducts visual and dimensional tests using calibrated equipment to ensure the accuracy of in-process and completed parts meet drawing requirements using precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Determines and uses appropriate inspection processes; creates inspection reports to confirm in-process and completed parts meet customer requirements.
• Collaborates with the production team to ensure timely and accurate inspections.
• Confirms and approves the quality of finished parts. Documents and reports nonconforming parts.
• Participate in root cause analysis meetings when required.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of machining experience is preferred; extensive knowledge of machining and machining processes
• At least 5 years of experience as a quality control inspector preferred; extensive knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques and equipment
• Ability to Read blueprints and to perform tests and inspections using calibrated instruments
• Portable CMM experience (FARO, Keyonce) highly desired
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving Skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in fast paced environments
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
• Language skills - effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language. Ability to effectively interpret and translate instructions to other employees in a professional and respectful manner
