Job summary

Auto-Chlor System in Atlanta, GA is seeking a packaging operator at our Hapeville plant to start up, operate and adjust various packaging machines. You will palletize and move items to the stretch wrapper, maintain quality, perform basic maintenance, and ensure a clean, safe workspace.

We offer $18.50–$20 per hour with benefits after 30 days. A high school diploma or GED and experience with packaging equipment (and forklift driving) are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating packaging equipment.
• Forklift driving experience preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate and adjust packaging machines (fillers, cappers, case erectors, labeling).
• Secure packaged items on pallets and move to stretch wrapper as needed.
• Maintain quality by checking weights, seals, appearance; adjust machines accordingly.
• Perform minor maintenance, adjustments, changeovers, troubleshooting.
• Keep work area clean and follow all safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for start-up, attending, operating and adjusting various packaging machines such as fillers, cappers, case erectors, tape machines, labelling equipment etc.
• Secures packaged items on pallets and when needed operates pallet moving equipment to move items to and from the packaging lines to the stretch wrapper.
• Maintains quality standards for weights, seals/caps, appearance, etc. by machine adjustments and frequent quality checks.
• Performs minor maintenance repairs, adjustments, changeovers, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance as required.
• Responsible for equipment cleaning and maintaining a clean work area and observing all safety regulations.
• Fillsin on packaging lines as needed.
• Observes all plant safety rules.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Previousexperience inoperationof packaging equipment.
• Pallet moving and forklift driving experience.
• Mechanical ability.
