Job summary

Mount Franklin Foods is seeking a Machine Operator to oversee the complete function of the production line during each run. You will set up, monitor, and adjust all machines and equipment, and ensure staff breaks align with policy.

You will manage setup and teardown, sanitation, and availability of supplies, maintain production records, and report performance. You will communicate with supervision and maintenance to address issues and ensure safety, food safety, and quality systems compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee set up and monitoring of all machine and equipment for each production run
• Adjust and verify controls to meet requirements and ensure staff breaks comply with policy
• Maintain setup, tear down, washing and sanitizing of all machines and equipment
• Ensure supplies are available before and during production runs
• Complete production documents and records accurately
• Communicate production results and issues to supervisor and maintenance teams
• Notify supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions within 15 minutes of downtime

Summary Of Job

The Machine Operator will oversee the complete function of Line during each production run. He/She will be responsible for set up and monitoring all machine and equipment, adjust and verify all controls according to requirements. Responsible for ensuring staff break times in accordance to company policy. Responsible for the complete set-up, tear down, washing, cleaning and sanitizing of all machines and equipment. Ensures that all supplies needed are available before, and during each production run. Ensures all production documents and records are properly and accurately completed. Performs all these activities in compliance with companys personnel safety, food safety, food defense and food quality systems.

• As a Machine Operator, you will be working in hard packing area, from set up of machine, to stacking. Adjust and verifies all controls are set according to requirements. Perform all these activities in compliance with companys personnel safety, food safety and food quality systems.
• Requests product based on work order specification.
• Meets or exceeds established Production run rates and Quality process indicators.
• Maintains and records reports on work orders processed and quantities produced.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Must communicate with shift supervisor for production results and any unforeseen situations.
• Must be able to follow up and resolve issues that occur during each production run
• Communicates regularly with maintenance technicians to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
• Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunction within 15 min of down time.
